virtu-ALL-izer
virtu-ALL-izer - a virtual supercomputer within a supercomputer is a scalable tool
enabling modification of interconnect topology, computational resources and components
of a virtual supercomputing cluster, without the need of stopping computation running
on the cluster taking the whole cluster down.
It is applicable in development of
topology-aware communication algorithms, study of impact of interconnect topology
on computational problems' performance and, most importantly, discovery of topologies
of interconnects, tailored for particular computational problems, by resource and
interconnect adjustment, while the computational problem is running on the virtual
supercomputing cluster.
