Sarah is a PhD student in the School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences, where her research focuses on modeling striped bass population dynamics and early life history in the Hudson River Estuary. Sarah explores the connections between population dynamics and environmental drivers, and she loves to run, read, and be outside. |

Mateo is a third-year PhD student in physics, working on the theoretical and computational
description of atomic and molecular processes in quantum matter. Outside physics,
he enjoys playing music, sports, and reading.

Nicolas is a PhD candidate in the Department of Ecology and Evolution. His research focuses on the ribbed mussel, a key species in salt marshes, and studies their early life history through field, laboratory, and modeling approaches. Outside of field work and the office, he loves to hike and cook. |

Ari is a chemistry PhD candidate working on developing computational methods for simulating ultrafast photochemical processes. His work aims to understand how molecules and materials convert one form of energy into another. Ari earned dual degrees in chemistry and electrical engineering as an undergrad at BITS Pilani (Goa, India). Beyond research, he enjoys history and the philosophy of science.
