The (SICM)2 Working Group on Portable Parallel Infrastructure (PPI) is sponsoring a workshop and soliciting white papers concerning future approaches for high-performance (i.e., parallel) computing in chemistry and materials science, including how our community should organize to address anticipated challenges and opportunities. This activity is an integral component of our conceptualization of an NSF Sustainable Software Innovation Institute for Computational Chemistry and Materials Modeling (S2I2C2M2 or (SICM)2) --- additional material concerning can be accessed here (SICM)2 addtl material, and workshop information will be updated at the project website, http://s2i2.org.
Background about the NSF program is here http://goo.gl/qUEMP4. This event is by invitation only.
Invited participants will receive IACS support for travel (up to $500), accommodation, and lunches will be provided. Should you have any questions, please contact us at iacs@stonybrook.edu.
